This Participatory Drawing was created during a weekend art festival in a small fishing town in Northern Iceland. The project engaged community members of all ages.
Like other Participatory Drawings this project bases on small circular pen gestures, but instead of black tones only we added colors – using fine-tip colored markers. This added a layering process to the piece; and the drawing changed significantly throughout the process, gaining density with every layer.
Using frames and rulers we cut interesting compositions out of the finished piece, so that participants were able to take smaller drawings home.
